About the YYA

The Youth and Young Adult Auxiliary (YYA) of the Bowen East District Baptist Association is devoted to developing the next generation of Christian leaders. Through spiritual discipleship, missions, and advocacy for social justice, the YYA inspires young people to live boldly for Christ and be active in ministry, both locally and nationally.

Partnering with youth supervisors across our churches, the YYA helps mold young believers into confident, committed leaders. Our goal is to provide meaningful experiences that strengthen their faith, grow their leadership skills, and prepare them for service within the district, the convention, and the world.

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12

At the heart of the YYA is relationship—building strong connections between youth, clergy, and mentors to nurture their spiritual walk and help them cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ.

What We Do

  • Host youth conferences, leadership sessions, and spiritual workshops

  • Promote engagement in missions and community outreach

  • Develop mentorship opportunities between youth and clergy

  • Provide space for spiritual exploration and emotional growth

  • Encourage youth and young adults to lead in church and community settings
