Laymen’s Ministry

About the Laymen

The Bowen East District Laymen’s Ministry is dedicated to encouraging and empowering men to be active in their churches, communities, and within the broader mission of the District and Convention.

Our goal is to help men move beyond church membership and into a deeper, personal relationship with God.

This ministry exists to promote a stronger understanding of the Christian faith and the role of the Church in daily life. Through fellowship, service, and spiritual growth, the Laymen’s Ministry helps men walk boldly with purpose and lead with Christ-like character.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17

We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seek to live it out by helping one another—spiritually, emotionally, and practically—including support with home repairs and community service efforts. Our mission is to lead by example, lifting one another up as we strive to walk closer with God.

Our Focus Areas

  • Encouraging spiritual growth and biblical manhood
  • Supporting men in leadership within the church and community
  • Hands-on outreach and service projects
  • Promoting a culture of accountability and fellowship
  • Active participation in district-wide ministry efforts
