Women's Auxillary
Sister Aleatha Marjorie Johnson King is a dedicated woman of faith who strives to treat everyone with love, compassion, and respect. She is a proud graduate of Lanier High School and continued her education at Tuskegee University, Georgia State University, and Auburn University.
Sister King devoted 50 years to the field of education—
12 years as a classroom teacher and 38 years as a high school counselor and consultant. She is now retired but continues to be an active and inspiring leader in her church and community.
She is a member of St. John Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama, where she serves as President of the Missionary Society and in several other ministries. Sister King also serves faithfully in the Bowen East District, the Northeast District, and the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention. She currently holds the position of First Vice President of the Northeast District Convention.

Sister King is a Golden Soror of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., celebrating over 50 years of membership. She helped found the Lambda Zeta Omega Chapter in Lanett in 1971. In addition, she is a member of the Qui Vive Civic Club, where she served as President for more than 15 years.

She is the proud mother of one daughter, Alysia King-Mwikuta, and grandmother to two grandchildren, Christopher and Carington.

Two of her favorite scriptures guide her daily walk:
Proverbs 3:6 – “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
